Five relevant smart-home ecosystems
KNX is the durable, manufacturer-independent premium standard and costs €18,000–€35,000 for 150 m². Loxone is an integrated €12,000–€22,000 solution. Matter links Apple, Google, Amazon and Samsung devices.
A practical hybrid uses KNX wiring as the backbone, Home Assistant or Loxone for visualisation and Matter for individual devices. It is feasible from €15,000–€18,000.
Three equipment packages
Basic (€8,000–€12,000) includes smart metering, room control, PV monitoring and wireless devices. Comfort (€15,000–€22,000) adds factory KNX, lighting, shading and energy integration.
Premium (€28,000–€35,000) adds full KNX, multi-room audio, security, dynamic lighting and predictive wallbox and battery control.
